ekey®
TOCAhome and ekey® TOCAnet
ekey TOCA is a physical access control product line
for inside and outside use. With ekey TOCA the daily
routines of opening locked doors couldn't be easier
than sweeping a finger across a sensor. ekey TOCA uses
cutting edge fingerprint technology to put the home
or business owner in control of who has access to their
premises. Traditional methods of copying keys or sharing
passcodes become a thing of the past, because with ekey
your finger is the key!
How
TOCA® will benefit the customer
Information technology is an integral part of the today’s
life and the envisioned future. Internet is becoming
increasingly the preferred platform for conducting routine
transactions such as online banking, online shopping,
remote working, etc. So is the case with computer networks,
and the growing dependent on it, where all type public,
private, or confidential information is stored. All
requires a “key(s)” in one form or another as a combination
of access codes, passwords, or something artificial
to allow access and conduct intended business. Similar,
a “key(s)” in the form of physical key or access codes
is required to control access for physical locations.
In all of the above stated situations, access is granted

• to the “key(s)” and not the “person” himself/herself
who is “supposedly” authorized for using the “key(s).”
• base on the “knowledge” or “acquisition” of “key(s)”
regardless of who is using it.
Although
these traditional access mechanisms had served a purpose
so far, yet with the technology advancement, these conventional
mechanisms are not able to provide the required level
of security. Whether it is cracking, exposing, duplicating,
forgetting, losing, or even sharing a password or a
key its occurrence is greatly possible. This is leading
to a growing threat in losing access control to physical
or virtual areas and exposure of private and sensitive
information. The solution to this growing threat is
through the usage of biometry.
Biometry
uses peoples’ biological characteristics as unique keys.
Biometry transfers the access key from being on you
to you. Using biometry, ekey developed its own biometric
finger scan technology solution in the form of TOCA®
that offers the following benefits:
• Increase convenience through better and secure alternatives
to passwords, access codes, and keys that brings peace
of mind to our customers and their customers.
• Reduce operating cost by eliminating the need for
passwords expensive and time-consuming administration.
• Eliminate the risk and the burden in managing forgotten
passwords and stolen credit card information.
• Increase stakeholder confidence and comfort level
in e-commerce by eliminating the need for exchanging
credit card information over the Internet.
• Reduce fraud and fraudulence transactions by eliminating
identity thief or password sharing.
• Increase security where access is directly traceable
to one person that enhances the security of the entire
system.
• Eliminate the need to carry physical key to unlock
doors and locks.
• Protect investments through TOCA® open system
for supporting different biometric technologies for
business and private use.
• Ensure personal identity protection against misuse,
either deliberately or by accident, through TOCA®
anonymous design in storing the biometric finger scan
as encoded and encrypted electronic key that does not
allow regeneration or reconstruction of the scanned
image.

Personal
access problems are solved with ekeyTOCA products!
The convenience of completely keyless entry, added
security, and peace of mind replaces worries associated
with the use of keys, PINs, and access cards. Situations
such as loss, stolen, unauthorized copies made, shared
codes becoming known, buddy punching, etc. Not to
mention the time and money saved from managing numbers
of keys, codes, and cards. TOCAhome,
TOCAhome3, TOCAhome pc are stand alone (no computer
required) fingerprint biometric access control systems
consisting of a weather resistant reader and a control
panel. Desired users are entered and deleted at the
control panel. An enrolled user swipes his/her finger
at the reader. If the key code (an irreversible code
taken from one’s fingerprint) is matched, the person
will be allowed to gain access. If not matched, access
is denied.
Doors (inside or outside), garage doors, excellent
for home offices, cabinets, restricted areas
Companies with up to 99 employees
Parking or members only with up to 99 persons
Convenience of a simple finger swipe
Enhanced security of biometric technology authorizing
intended user vs. a correct key, code, or card
User friendly enrollment, simple color LED user prompt
Décor friendly, small discreet size, with optional
accessories, works with existing door hardware (requires
electrical strike/lock)
No monthly fees, No keys to copy
No re-keying or changing codes…simply delete the unwanted

Information
technology is an integral part of the today’s life and
the envisioned future. Internet is becoming increasingly
the preferred platform for conducting routine transactions
such as online banking, online shopping, remote working,
etc. All
requires in one form or another password or key to gain
access. Similar to control access for physical locations,
access is granted to the key and not the person using
the key. It is the knowledge or acquisition of a key that
counts, regardless of who is using it. Although these
access mechanisms had served a purpose so far, yet with
the technology advancement, these conventional mechanisms
are not enough anymore. Whether it is cracking, exposing,
duplicating, forgetting, losing, or even sharing a password
or a key its occurrence is greatly possible. This is leading
to a growing threat in losing access control to physical
or virtual areas and exposure of private and sensitive
information. Replacement of password and access key by
biometric technology is the answer to this growing threat.
Biometric technology transfers the access key from being
’on you’ to being ’you.’ It equates the individual traits
into a biometric keycode that act as a key to access without
a key hence it is keyless key solution.
TOCA®, a biometric key-code system, is an anonymous,
convenient and secure solution for areas in which passwords,
credit cards, transaction numbers, and the like currently
do not sufficiently protect consumers and businesses.Of
the many possible applications, online transactions (Internet)
are first and foremost, but the technology can also be
used for document signatures and the protection of access-restricted
areas. TOCA® is an innovative solution for companies
(banks, credit card companies, online shops, etc.) whose
customers wish to use electronic authorization. The system
is based on the unique personal characteristic features,
such as a finger, the iris of the eye, the face. Based
on these characteristics (which can also be combined)
the so-called key code (biometric key code) is generated
and stored in a “safe deposit box” at ekey biometric systems.
Key coding, i.e., encoding the personal characteristics,
is performed by means of ancillary equipment, such as
a finger sensor (installed in the mouse, keyboard, notebook,
mobile phone, door, etc.), a Web cam (face identification)
or other biometric techniques.ekey biometric systems tests
the technology best suited for the specific field of application
and integrates it into its system. At the moment, finger-scan
technology is the most advanced biometric coding technology
in the mass market. Apart from its technical advantages,
finger-scan technology provides an active system where
the user must deliberately place his or her finger on
the sensor, which is tantamount to a conscious declaration
of intention (e.g., for transactions).
Our biometric expertise is the individual that shapes
his or her own future, and only the individual is granted
access to his/her personal areas. The individual remains
anonymous to us. We know his/her individual code but we
do not know him or her. Our method of authentication does
not know any personal data. We do not identify persons
but compare biometric features in order to check whether
they match. This makes our technology unique, individual,
and anonymous. If, for example, a bank offers TOCA®
to its customers, the key code of the customer is transmitted
to ekey biometric systems after it has been initially
generated, and stored under a so-called safe deposit number.
In this way ekey is not informed about the person who
has generated this key code, and these personal data remain
at the bank.If the bank customer orders a transaction
from his/her institute online, this person carries out
the so-called key coding at home by generating his/her
unique code at an ancillary device (finger scanner, iris
scanner, etc.). The respective transaction is transmitted
to the respective bank under this code. The bank sends
this code together with the safe deposit number to ekey
without the transaction data and without the personal
data. ekey checks whether this key code corresponds to
the key code already stored at the identical safe deposit
number. If identification is positive, the bank is given
a confirmation that the transaction is being carried out
by the correct person. If the bank is not given ekey’s
confirmation, the transaction is refused.
In this way, TOCA® secures authenticated transactions
for the bank and its customers without making known or
storing personal data outside the bank. Accordingly, the
banking secrecy is kept while at the same time biometric
data are inaccessible by the bank. The only connection
in inquiries to the biometric key-code system TOCA®
is established by the safe deposit number.
