Instead of having to lay lots of CAT5 wiring around the home like Clipsal, Dynalite and HPM systems require, the UPB powerline solution works over the existing 240VAC wiring in the home. So you save lots or money. So home control is achieved via the home controller (like HAI OMNI series) talking to devices around the home over the 240AC wiring. This means you can start small and add more later as budget allows. But automation is more than just lighting control. The HAI system provides for control of security and just about anything else in the home that has a power supply. You can automate blinds, awnings, irrigation, fountains, pools, doors, lighting and the list goes on and on. The industry offers a lot of proprietary products and systems with little in the way of common standards. To overcome this HAI has based its approach on IP (internet protocol) and powerline bus systems. So you can access your system from anywhere in the home or the world using your internet, mobile phone or a myriad of other devices. The system talks to you and takes action based on your commands. UPB GEN II FROM PLLC

The new second generation of UPB lighting control is now available. Th enew wall switches called KRYSTAL SWITCHES will make any home look smart and fit in with decor with a wide range of colours of wall plates and buttons. A wide range of applications is now possible through the enhanced UPB product line:

Lighting control
Appliance control
Power savings control

UPB GEN II comes in a new packaging ready for installation by a qualified and certified electrician.

The new wall switches come with a range of combinations including an on board dimmer control. There are slave units which talk to inline dimmers located around the home, and combo units that have slave and dimmer control on board as well as UPB abd standard mechanical mech combinations. A PIM )program INterface Module) is required to program UPB products but the software to run on your PC is free (UPSTART from Pulseworx). You can simply replace your existing wall switches with a UPB switch with a module on board and program it quickly and easily. One button can be programmed to turn on/off a single light load or multiple light loads as required. A single button can be programmed to talk to multiple UPB modules in the home. NO NEW WIRES REQUIRED!!!

Appliances can be turned on and off like pumps, coffee machines and more. Anything with a motor can be controlled by a UPB wall switch or HAI controller with PIM interface.

UPB APPLIANCE MODULE

This module is plugged into a power point and can be controlled by UPB commands for a light switch or HAI controller. Plug your 10 AMP power board into the appliance module and control multiple power sources at the same time with a single on/off switch. Sure to save money and reduce bills. Up to 30AMPS available.

NEW UPB inline module for momentary switches and other uses. Modules rated at 250watts can be placed behind wall switches and controlled by slave switches as required.

Note: filters may be required for Generation I and Generation II products in some homes due to excessive noise created by non compliant EMC products in the home such as some ceiling fans, CFL and fluro lights and even LED lights. Ask us for more details.

GENERATION 1 UPB Products

You can combine Generation 1 and Generation II UPB products to accomodate large and small lighting loads and custom design lighting control for your home/commercial premises.

UPB GENERATION 1 - dim and non dim UPB 240VAC modules - up to 800-1200 watts - great for large loads. Cluster mount, put in line at first light or behind the switch in the wall cavity. Many install options. Software programming switches module from dimmer to non dimmer mode.
UPB - GENERATION 1 - 4 gang smart switch connected to modules - optional as you can place modules anywhere in the home AC wiring to control a required light load.
UPB GENERATION 1 - 4 gang smart switch fits in standard clipsal c-clip.

UPB PIM 240VAC version - two way lighting control with full status reporting back to the automation controller. INjects UPB signals into the AC wiring.
