The HAI controller can be easily programmed using the software supplied and a PC. This is a major benefit over other systems that require complex programming and hold you ransom to external services to change settings. And after all who doesn't want to make some changes to the systems once they are installed.

You can adjust house settings using the touch screen, a hand held remote, a telepone and even a PDA device. You can adjust settings from within the home or anywhere in the world. Scheduling events in the home is easy whether they are simple or complex. Our customer care centre can also provide home program templates to get you up and going or enhancements to your existing scheduling once installation has occurred. You can schedule events day and night, while home or away, for simple or complex requirements!

Scenes can be created with lighting and all other functions in the home.
For example in a home cinema room you may walk in and motion detectors will do the following:
- Close any curtains or blinds
- Lower the projector screen ready for use
- Turn on the DVD player and set mode
- Boot up the amplifiers
- Turn on the surround sound system
- Turn on the projector
- Dim the lights to 20 percent
- Adjust room airconditioning to 22 degrees
- Turn on the popcorn machine in the kitchen!

All this and more can be easily programmed into the home controller so that comfort and convenience is delivered in a responsive manner.
Curtain motors can be installed to control curtains in a room and combined with thermostats so that if the temperature inside the room goes above a predefined level the curtains or shutters will close.
Grounds lights turn on at sunset and off when you go to bed.
Simple or complex things can be scheduled easily.

You can schedule voice responses to events that occur around the home and have the system talk to you and inform you on the status of various systems inside the home. You can also program voice messages so that when someone walks in the door the home controller will give them a voice message - like 'happy birthday darling'.

Other criteria can be programmed to initiate voice interaction.
As part of a whole-house automation system, wall switches and control modules can be integrated with HAL's (Home Automated Living) Voice Activation Software, security and structured wiring systems, to provide voice-activated control of heating and air-conditioning, fireplaces, lighting, audio/video and security. Now were talking convenience and ease of use!

You can schedule lights to come on around the home based on time intervals, lights inside the home to indicate someone is home, irrigation to come on and all kinds of scenarios are possible by simply programming the HAI OMNI controller - it's child's play!

Other programming possibilities . . .
The porch lights will flash upon a burglary alarm and remain on
until the system is reset
Fire alarm will shut down HVAC fan, all lights will turn on for safe exit
Master Bedroom Lamp will come on at 6:00 AM and go off at 7:30 AM Weekdays. Console will beep and show “Rise and Shine!” But not on holidays!
Hallway ceiling lights turn on at 65% at sunset and go off when “Night Sleep Mode” is activated.

When Night Mode, set downstairs thermostat to 60F degrees heating and 82F degrees cooling. When Vacation, turn off the electric water heater!
